Self-paced training courses are currently offered by two CED programs: IMPACT WV and Positive Behavior Support (PBS).
The IMPACT WV modules provide training and resources for families and providers to address the needs of children diagnosed with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) or those exposed to substances in utero. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available free of charge for several professions, with the exception of Continuing Medical Education (CME) for physicians and nurses, which requires a $25 processing fee after the first 50 participants.
Positive Behavior Support currently offers a Trauma 101 training and a PBS for Parents training, which introduces an evidence-based, person-centered and proactive approach to addressing undesirable behaviors. New courses focused on Making Action Plans (MAPs), Implementing Trauma Informed PBS, Quality of Life and other topics are coming soon. CEUs are currently pending, and a Certificate of Attendance is provided upon completion of each course.
