Introduction

Often times children with NAS have increased behavioral challenges as they are developing. It is beneficial for all parents to know strategies to positively address challenging behaviors while teaching new appropriate skills. The Addressing Challenging Behavior modules focus on how to prevent these challenges which will create better outcomes for the child as well as reducing caregiver stress. The Addressing Challenging Behavior Module also identifies ways to calm an incident once it has occurred in a productive manner that helps the child learn new skills.
