Positive Behavior Support for Parents II provides parents, grandparents, foster parents, and caregivers with a more in-depth look at the positive parenting model, strategies for creating structure in the home, how to de-escalate a child in crisis and build resiliency. Participants will receive a certificate upon completing the coursework.

Course Objectives:

  • Discover the four components of positive parenting.
  • How to implement structure in the home and why it’s an important part of positive behavior support.
  • Learn the three R’s of de-escalation: Regulate, Relate, Reason and coping strategies for your child.
  • What is resiliency and how does it help you and your child?
